Chin
Augmentation
Chin surgery, is a surgical procedure
to reshape the chin either by enhancement with
an implant or reduction surgery on the bone. Often,
chin surgery may be necessary for patients having
nose surgery in order to achieve the appropriate
facial balance, as the size of the chin may magnify
or minimize the perceived size of the nose. Chin
surgery helps provide a harmonious balance to
your facial features so that you feel better about
the way you look.

| The presence of a small or "weak"
chin contour, whether alone or in the setting
of large, disproportionate nose , indicates
consideration of a chin implant. |

Implants are used to build projection of
the chin to achieve harmony and balance. The
implant is placed in front of the chin through
a small incision under the chin (in the natural
skin crease) or through the mouth. |
